Update: Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian Gimbal System

Dear customers:

We recently showcased the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian at the 2017 IFA in Berlin. The prototype unit displayed at the IFA show featured a magnesium, electroplated and anti-fingerprint coated gimbal system.

To ensure a top quality finish in the final production units to customers, we've decided to use a different coating for the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian’s gimbal system. The new gimbal system will carry a similar look and feel as the electroplated coating shown in the prototype. This is a design change and will not affect the performance of the gimbal system or aircraft.

Customers who place an order for the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian through the DJI online store, DJI authorized dealers and DJI Flagship Stores after September 26, 2017 will receive their unit with the updated gimbal system.

For professionals who demand excellence in imaging and video quality, the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian is equipped with a 1-inch 20-megapixel sensor capable of shooting 4K/60fps video. The FlightAutonomy system adds dual rear vision sensors and infrared sensing systems for a total of 5-direction of obstacle sensing and 4-direction of obstacle avoidance.

The Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian offers intelligent flight performance and a powerful imaging system for any serious drone photographer. For more info, visit: https://www.dji.com/phantom-4-pro
