Aircraft

1. What are the main differences between the Phantom 4 Advanced and Phantom 4 Pro?
The Phantom 4 Advanced inherits most of the functions of the Phantom 4 Pro. However, in order to increase affordability, unlike the Phantom 4 Pro, the Phantom 4 Advanced does not have Rearward Vision Sensor and two Infrared Sensors in its Flight Autonomy system. Also, its remote controller supports the 2.4 GHz frequency band and does not support the 5.8 GHz frequency band.
2. What propellers does the Phantom 4 Advanced use?
The Phantom 4 Advanced uses DJI 9450 quick-release propellers.
3. What's the Phantom 4 Advanced’s maximum speed?
In S-mode, 20 meters per second.
In P-mode, 14 meters per second.
In A-mode, top speed varies depending on environmental factors.
4. What is the Phantom 4 Advanced’s maximum flight time?
The Phantom 4 Advanced can fly for up to 30 minutes in ideal conditions. Actual flight time varies based on environmental conditions and operation.
5. How do I calibrate the Phantom 4 Advanced's Forward and Downward Vision Systems?
The Forward and Downward Vision Systems can be calibrated with DJI Assistant 2 and DJI GO 4. If there is an error with the Forward or Downward Vision System, a prompt stating that auto calibration for the Vision System is required will pop up in the DJI GO 4. Follow the instructions in the DJI GO 4 to calibrate. For the best results, we recommend calibrating the Forward and Downward Vision Systems with DJI Assistant 2. If you don’t have a computer at hand, calibrate them with DJI GO 4.

Gimbal Camera

1. What is the difference between the Phantom 4 Advanced’s gimbal and camera and the Phantom 4 Pro’s?
The Phantom 4 Advanced’s gimbal and camera is that of Phantom 4 Pro and shares the same specifications with the Phantom 4 Pro.
2. Which Mirco SD cards are supported by the Phantom 4 Advanced?
It is not recommended to use an UHS-II SD card, as it does not meet the requirement of write speed for the Phantom 4 Advanced. Currently supported Micro SD card are listed below:
Sandisk Extreme 32GB UHS-3 V30 MicroSDHC
Sandisk Extreme 64GB UHS-3 V30 MicroSDXC
Panasonic 32GB UHS-3 MicroSDHC
Panasonic 64GB UHS-3 MicroSDXC
Samsung PRO 32GB UHS-1 MicroSDHC
Samsung PRO 64GB UHS-3 MicroSDXC
Samsung PRO 128GB UHS-3 MicroSDXC
Panasonic 16GB UHS-3 MicroSDHC
Sandisk Extreme 16GB UHS-3 SD MicroSDHC
Sony 16GB UHS-3 MicroSDHC
Lexar 16GB UHS-3 MicroSDHC
3. Does the Phantom 4 Advanced support mechanical shutter?
Yes. A mechanical shutter can prevent jello effect when shooting fast moving objects. You can also turn off the mechanical shutter and enable the electronic shutter in DJI GO.
4. Can the ND filter for Phantom 4 Pro cameras be used with the Phantom 4 Advanced?
Yes.
5. What’s the Phantom 4 Advanced’s maximum video bit rate?
100 Mbps.

Remote Controller

1. What is the difference between the Phantom 4 Advanced and Phantom 4 Advanced+?
The aircraft of the Phantom 4 Advanced and Phantom 4 Advanced+ are the same. But the Phantom 4 Advanced+ remote controller has a built-in screen.

Only the remote controller with a built-in screens are interchangeable.
3. Is the Phantom 4 Advanced remote controller interchangeable with the Phantom 4 remote controller?
No.
4. Can my remote controller output HDMI signal?
The Phantom 4 Advanced’s remote controller can output HDMI signal with the HDMI Module installed and a mobile device. After installing the HDMI Module, upgrade the remote controller’s firmware to the latest version.
The Phantom 4 Advanced +’s remote controller has a built-in HDMI port.

Video Downlink

1. What is the difference between Phantom 4 Advanced and Phantom 4 Pro Lightbridge systems?
The Phantom 4 Advanced remote controller supports 2.4GHz frequency band and cannot switch between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz. The maximum transmission range can reach 4.3mi (7km).
2. What is the transmission latency of the Phantom 4 Advanced’s downlink?
Around 220ms for the remote controller without the display and around 180ms for the one with the display. The actual transmission latency depends on your mobile device’s performance and environmental interference.
3. What’s the maximum resolution of the Phantom 4 Advanced’s video downlink?
720P@30FPS. Actual transmission resolution depends on your mobile device’s performance and environmental interference.
