Steps to follow as a new drone pilot

  • Register your aircraft on the FAA’s website if it weighs over 0.55 lbs (0.25 kg).
  • You are required to obtain any related permits for commercial flights.
  • Please read through local regulations or consult authorities before flying a large aircraft that weighs over 25 kg.
