“ Taking to the sky allowed me to have a view I had never experienced before of an old stomping ground. I was also blown away, given the altitude and in general, with just how much wind it could handle. ”

New Phantom pilot Grant Graves took his Phantom to capture the dramatic vistas at Mammoth Lakes, California, at over 8000 feet in elevation and in unexpected winds. He had never flown in high winds before, and was surprised how well it flew and handled despite the unfavorable conditions. With a few extra batteries on hand, he was able to fly over steep gorges, lakes, volcanic domes, ghost towns, and several other local sites.
