FAQ

How many batteries can be charged simultaneously in Normal mode and Quick mode?
In Normal mode, the DJI Battery Station can charge up to eight TB50 batteries simultaneously. If there is a significant difference of voltage between two vertically aligned batteries (e.g., in slots A1 and B1; please refer to the TB50 Battery Station User Guide for slot IDs), the Battery Station will charge the lower one first, and then charge both together when they are equally charged.
In Quick mode, the Station can simultaneously charge up to two groups (e.g., in slots A1 and A2, as well as D1 and D2). It will charge the four TB50 batteries to 90% first, then 100% for any batteries that are still inserted.
In addition to TB50 batteries, what else can be charged with the Battery Station?
Apart from eight TB50 battery ports, the DJI Battery Station is also equipped with two 20-26V/3A DC OUT Remote Controller Ports and two 5V/2A USB Ports, which can charge Cendence, Inspire, and Phantom series remote controllers, CrystalSky, Cendence Battery Charging Hub, and other mobile devices.
What is Silent mode?
In Silent mode, the Battery Station will restrict the charging current, lower the speed of the cooling fan, and turn off the beeper to reduce operating noise. This mode is recommended in quiet environments with abundant time for charging. Silent mode can be enabled in the menu under Normal mode.
Can Silent mode be enabled both in Normal and Quick mode?
No. Silent mode can only be enabled in Normal mode. Due to larger charging currents required in Quick mode, Silent mode is not available.
If all TB50 batteries reach 90% in Quick mode, will they continue to be fully charged to 100%?
Yes. In Quick mode, batteries will be considered fully charged when they reach 90%, then 100% for any batteries that are still inserted.
What information will be shown on the Battery Station screen?
During the charging and discharging process, users can access information such as battery voltage, current, level, temperature, and remaining charging time. By pressing the Menu button, you can check more battery information, including the version, and SN number of each battery, as well as the voltage of each battery cell.
How can I select the different charging modes?
Toggle the Option switch to choose between Normal mode and Quick mode. To enable Silent mode, enter the Menu page when batteries are charged in Normal mode.
How can I update the battery firmware version with the DJI Battery Station?
Open DJI Assistant 2 in your computer (PC or Mac), and use a micro USB cable to connect your computer to the Firmware Update port in the Battery Station, and then press the Battery Update button in DJI Assistant 2. Please note that updating battery firmware with the Battery Station is an upcoming function.
What’s the difference between discharging batteries to 50% and 25%?
50% is suitable for long-term storage for up to three months. 25% meets airline regulatory compliance, which requires charging levels for batteries included check-in luggage not exceed 30%. For detailed regulations regarding batteries, please refer to local and federal policies.
Can I close the lid of the Battery Station when charging or discharging the batteries?
No. When the Battery Station is charging or discharging, its built-in cooling fan will maintain appropriate temperatures. If the lid is closed, heat generated during the process will be unable to dissipate, which may lead to overheating problems. It is recommended to not close the lid and leave the Battery Station open while operating.
Is the Battery Station waterproof or dustproof?
Yes. When the Battery Station is closed and completely sealed with the padlocks locked, it achieves an IP67 rating of ingress protection, which is considered waterproof and dustproof.
Will simultaneously charging other devices via the Remote Controller ports affect battery charging?
Using the 20-26V 3A DC OUT Remote Controller ports to charge other devices will slow down battery charging. If the power is not sufficient, the Battery Station will prioritize battery charging and stop charging other devices.
The Battery Station cannot charge remote controllers. What is the problem, and how can I fix it?
If the Battery Station is not charging remote controllers, please try the following:
1.Disconnect the remote controller from the charging port and connect again, or change to another charging port.
2.In some situations, the Battery Station will prioritize battery charging and thus restrict power supply to other devices, including remote controllers. In such situations, the Battery Station will begin to charge remote controllers and other devices when the TB50 batteries are fully charged. Users can refer to the LED indicator next to the RC ports.
3.If the indicator is on but remote controllers are not being charged, please contact DJI after-sales for technical support.
