1. What are the differences between the Phantom 3 Professional, Phantom 3 Advanced and Phantom 3 Standard?
The biggest difference between Phantom 3 Professional and Advanced is the camera. The Phantom 3 Professional is capable of shooting 4K video at up to 30 frames per second, and the Phantom 3 Advanced is capable of shooting at resolutions up to 2.7K. Both models shoot 12 megapixel photos. Secondly, Phantom 3 Professional’s charger is 100 watts, while the Phantom 3 Advanced’s is only 57 watts. The biggest difference between the Phantom 3 Standard and the other two Phantoms lies in the remote controller. For more information, please visit this link: https://store.dji.com/compare-phantom-3
2. What is the difference between CE and FCC certification? Can I switch between the two?
CE and FCC are two different safety compliance certifications used in different geographical regions. CE certification standards are set by the European Union (EU) for the products they import, while FCC certification standards are set by the United States. They are some differences between the two. For example, CE standards limit flight distance more than FCC standards.
The aircraft will automatically identify which certification is appropriate according to your location, and you cannot switch between them manually.
3. The four motors don’t look level. Is there anything wrong?
No, the motors are curved by design.
4. How do I install the propellers and propeller guards?
To install the propellers, please refer to this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKIjZbpwV0E
To install the propeller guards, please refer to this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPgdso-749g
5. What should I do to prevent my motors from being damaged?
Keep the motors away from dust, moisture, or sand, and have the aircraft repaired in the event of a crash.
6. How can I upgrade the aircraft firmware for the Phantom 3 Professional/Advanced?
For details about how to upgrade the aircraft firmware for the Phantom 3 Professional/Advanced, please watch this tutorial video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFysbx7-SFg

Gimbal Camera

1. Are the gimbals for the Phantom 3 Professional, Advanced and Standard interchangeable?
The gimbals for the Phantom 3 Professional and Advanced are interchangeable, but please ensure that the firmware of the aircraft stays the same with the firmware of the gimbal. For example, if you have placed a Phantom 3 Professional gimbal onto a Phantom 3 Advanced, then please update your aircraft with the latest Phantom 3 Professional firmware. Since Phantom 3 Standard’s gimbal is designed differently than the Advanced or Professional’s gimbal, Phantom 3 Standard gimbals are not interchangeable.
2. How can I disassemble and assemble the gimbal?
Please refer to link: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTI0ODc2NzY0OA==.html
3. There are what look like zebra stripes on my live camera feed. Is something wrong with my camera?
These stripes are used to indicate overexposure and can be turned on or off in the app. Under camera settings, press the gear icon, then turn off “Over Exposure Warning”. The stripes will disappear.
4. My 4K videos are not smooth when I play them. Why?
4K videos can only be played on special screens with powerful hardware. Stuttering video means that you may require a more powerful computer to play the files.
5. How can I restore a video file if the drone turns off during recording?
Do not remove the Micro-SD card from the camera. If the SD card has been removed, place it back in the camera. Turn the aircraft on, wait approximately 30 seconds, and the video file is restored.
6. Why can’t I use Metering Mode?
Metering is disabled in Manual Exposure Mode. Set the camera to Auto Exposure Mode.
7. Can I control Exposure Metering manually?
When the aircraft is powered on, the camera is in Center-weighted Metering Mode by default. If you want to use Spot Metering, tap on screen where you would like the shot to be correctly exposed. A yellow box will appear where you tap. To exit Spot Metering Mode, click yellow cross at the top right corner of the box. Exposure Metering cannot be used in Manual Mode.
8. What are the differences between ND filters and UV filters?
UV filters are used to filter out ultraviolet (UV) light to protect the camera from dust. ND (Neutral Density) are used for daylight shooting. They help reduce all wavelengths, or colors, of light equally, resulting in no changes in hue or color rendition. ND filters can help prevent over-exposure or jello effect in your footage.

Remote Controller

1. Does the Phantom 3 support dual controller operation?
No, only one remote controller can be used to control both the aircraft and the gimbal tilt at the same time.
2. What does the “P, A, F” switch on the remote controller do?
This switch, called the Flight Mode Switch, allows you to toggle different 3 different flight modes:
1. In P-mode, or Positioning Mode, both GPS and the Vision Positioning System are active, and your Phantom 3 will attempt to stabilize using both.
2. In A-mode, or Attitude mode, the aircraft does not use GPS or the Vision Positioning System. Only the barometer is used for stabilization. The aircraft can still return to the Home Point as long as a sufficient GPS signal is available.
3. In F-mode, or Function mode, activates Intelligent Orientation Control (IOC) functionality. Please refer to the IOC section in the Appendix of the User Manual for more details.
3. Why can’t I stretch the mobile device holder on my new remote controller?
There’s a thin transparent film on the device holder. Tear it off before usage.
4. How do I upgrade the firmware for my remote controller?
If the Remote Controller firmware version is lower than 1.3.20, update it to 1.3.20 using the USB interface (use either a USB flashdisk or USB SD card reader). If the Remote Controller firmware version is higher than 1.3.20, connect the app to upgrade.
5. How long does it take to charge a Phantom 3 remote controller?
It takes 2.5-3 hours to charge a remote controller Phantom 3 Professional or Advanced controller, and 4.5-5 hours to discharge them (while they’re connected with a mobile device). It takes longer if there’s no mobile device connected. Charging time for Phantom 3 Standard’s remote controller depends on which charger you’re using. If you use a 1.5A charger, then it takes about 2.5 hours for a controller to be fully charged. Otherwise, charge time differs according to the charge current. There are 500mA, 1A, 1.5A, 2.1A mobile device chargers on the market
6. Can I charge my Remote Controller and Intelligent Flight Battery at the same time?
While the Remote Controller charger and Intelligent Flight Battery charger have been integrated into one unit for your convenience, it is recommended to only charge one item at a time. We recommend that you never charge both items at the same time using the same charger.
7. How can I upgrade the remote controller firmware for the Phantom 3 Professional and Phantom 3 Advanced?
