End-to-End Encryption

Your ROMO uses end-to-end encryption, generating a new key with every use.

Only you hold the key to decrypt it.

Account & Device Sharing

Access to ROMO is restricted to authorized accounts only - and sharing a device does not automatically grant access to remote video and real-time photos.

The receiving user must complete in-person QR code authorization with the primary account holder through the DJI Home app before viewing this content.

Camera & Microphone Controls

Built-in camera and microphone support obstacle avoidance and recognition, remote video calls, and the smart voice assistant. Users can manage these features through the DJI Home app.

Maps & Local Processing

Maps are encrypted and securely stored in the DJI Cloud using end-to-end encryption, with protections against brute-force attacks.

TÜV SÜD Penetration Test: ROMO P2 & DJI Home App (2026)

TÜV SÜD conducted a comprehensive penetration test of the DJI ROMO P2 device and DJI Home app to assess potential security vulnerabilities.

The assessment identified no critical, high, or medium-risk security findings, resulting in an overall Low exposure rating. All findings identified during testing have since been addressed.

ETSI EN 303 645 Certification (2025)

DJI ROMO obtained ETSI EN 303 645 certification by TÜV SÜD, confirming that ROMO meets internationally recognized cybersecurity standards for consumer Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

This certification verifies that the product adheres to core security protocols, including the elimination of default passwords and the implementation of secure software update mechanisms.

Diamond IoT Security Rating (2025)

DJI ROMO achieved the Diamond level IoT Security Rating verified by UL Solutions, the highest tier within the UL Solutions IoT Security Rating Program.

This top-level rating confirms that the product has passed rigorous penetration testing and binary code security audits to protect device integrity and safeguard user privacy.

EU Cybersecurity & Privacy Certification (2025)

DJI ROMO has obtained an EU Type-Examination Certificate by TÜV Rheinland, confirming compliance with the core cybersecurity requirements of the European Union’s Radio Equipment Directive (RED).

Specifically, ROMO has been independently verified under the EN 18031 standard for robust Network Protection (Article 3.3d) and Personal Data & Privacy (Article 3.3e), ensuring it can withstand cyber threats and protect consumer data.

ROMO is certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI) to ISO 27701:2025 and ISO 27001:2026, internationally recognised standards for privacy information management and information security management.
